I will cover every character instead! Each post in this series will cover two of the characters, starting with the initial characters and then covering those who can be unlocked.

I would never attempt to cover every scenario. It covers an entire book of nearly one hundred scenarios. Is it a board game? Is it a role-playing game? Personally I feel that it’s a little bit of both. This series of articles will cover one of the most detailed games conceived. It is almost impossible to talk about Gloomhaven without spoiling something for someone. If this bothers you, then only read to the level you have attained. That is also not the point of the game though, the intent is to experience as much of it as you want.ĭisclaimer #2: If you are currently playing or considering playing this game, I will be discussing components of this game you may not have unlocked yet, such as higher level cards and items you may not have. It would take significant effort to experience the entire game and all the content in it. I unlocked substantial content (including all the classes), but I did not experience the entire game. In the campaign of Gloomhaven that I played, I played the game over sixty times in order to experience the whole story. Gloomhaven is as much an experience as a game. Having received it for a recent birthday I was keen to get our party's characters painted up quickly, to avoid the grey plastic sticking out among the game's otherwise colourful environment.īearing in mind that the average painting time for any other project on my profile is usually a minimum of a couple of months, it was a fun challenge to aim to get this done in an afternoon instead, and the effectiveness of a simple zenithal highlight > contrast paint > drybrush process was very satisfying to work through.Īll being well, a few more of our party should ascend to the gram in the next few days.Disclaimer: Gloomhaven is massive.
